Intro and La Finca

Helllloooo friends,

I wasn't going to make a blog, but I've realized that it may be a good way for people to keep track of where I am and what I'm up to. My rough idea is that it's going to be lots of pictures and not a lot of words. There won't be any giant introspective posts about my direction in life. And you shouldn't really think of it as an attempt at photography as an art form, as all my technique and knowledge is taken from years of observing Gene (always shoot in a crabcore crouch, make sure your apertures are tight). It'll mostly be a way for you to see some cool stuff that I am seeing. It's also totally possible that I don't keep this up, I make no promises.

I'm currently in Orosi, a small town an hour south of San Jose, for orientation for the month before I head up to Fortuna (my site for the year) at the end of January. This past weekend, I got to spend Saturday and Sunday at "La Finca", which turned out to be my host family's farm on top of a hill/mountain overlooking Orosi.

This dude is named UV (spelling highly questionable)
